NORWALK, Ohio - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Fourth annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Jim Cunningham Runs 13.881/60.98, Now #2
Right Lane: Bob Benza Runs 6.750/204.17, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 53 percent, barometer 29.10 inches, adjusted altitude 2,972 feet, track temperature 124 degrees.
Cunningham was real loose right off the starting line and clicked it off. Benza with a clean pass to start the weekend.

Benza with a big wheel stand and then the car got out of the groove. Then it darted across both lanes and hit the right wall with left front of the car and then spun around and slammed the driver side of the car. He then spun around and came to a stop in the middle of the track. Johnson in the other lane with a great pass and he goes to the number one spot.
