Should have saved your money and bought some Super Stock Springs. Traction bars are for Chevys. Yes there should be an air gap in the front

If you removed them from the box and attached them to a Mopar........NO! They won't really do much for you except draw some attention to the yellow paint under the car.

The bolts must be tight, to get that gap between the spring and snubber you'll need some spring perch angle shims.

Sorry, Mopar leafs are set-up in a different function than the old chebys. Mopars dont NEED traction bars! Have you heard of a "pinion snubber".

scotty -

I've been running traction bars similar to the Lakewoods since the late 70's on my Charger. Yes, they work and will limit spring travel on launch (just do a few launches with and without them and see for yourself). They also stiffen the springs somewhat. Both front and rear bolts or brackets need to locked down and you do need some gap between the bumper and the leaf eye. 1/2" is about average, but there's some trail and error required.

Traction bars are designed to stop wheel hop. They will do that job well if correctly installed. If your not suffering from wheel hop you won't see much if any differance other than a stiffer ride.
