413 long tube cross-ram question
I'm putting a set of long tube cross-ram intakes on my 440 off of a 413 in my 68 dart. Just wondering if anyone has any specs or info on it, can't find much on this style intake. thanks, joe

ram induction
there was a special supplement to the 1960 chrysler service manual that dealt only with the ram induction setup. most of the literature vendors like Bishko, etc., have reprints for sale. i don't know how you would ever set one up right without that supplement.

OLD post, old guy, I have a 60 Dart(big car) with 383 Ram Induction. Back in the day 65-69 when I drove the car regularly itwas an easy car to keep in tune, AFBs why not? I'm in the process of restoring it, down to interior & odds & ends.
As for mileage in the old days I would get 14-16 highway mileage same as my SB 383 AVS. I did change gears from 3.31 to 2.76 but didn't seem to make much diff. The tires were 8.00x14 bias back then.
I hope you did your project. The roar of dumping your foot into the carbs was well worth it. Remember a 383 is not at all equal 383. Some had mild cams 2bbl or some 66-67 b bodycams were mild. Your engine boss wil say if the block is high performance indicating hp on it. My 383 had quite a lope to it

yes Old Post : You need a C body to have the room for the heat boxes and tubes. I have seen people cut the heat boxes off. I'm not sure how that affects fuel vaporization. Other than that you have to cut the inner fenderwells on a A or B body for them to fit. I have a set I have been looking for a 61 fury or sport fury to put it on. They make gobs of torque. there are actually two types. The long ram and short ram. from the outside they look the same. the runner deviders are shorter in the short ram and it is a better high RPM manifold but loses some of the torque of the long ram. I do not see the balance tube in your photo. Do you not have it ?
