Anyone know what wheel lug pattern for challenger is?
Hey guys I have been looking for some wheels for my challenger for a little while now. But I'm not sure what size the lugs need to measure at. Its all original, stock 318 car and its a 1973. manual brakes. Anyone know what size lug pattern I would need for it?

NOT quite true... the later model Jeeps yes, earlier models no, early model is 5 on 5 1/2" same as a Ford P/U. After that being said Ford car pattern IS the same as Chrysler Products.

oh the details.
The ford pattern is close on the register size, but not the same as the mopar size. The register is the center raised portion of the axle in the middle of the studs. I feel this is an important aspect to consider as it truely centers the wheel on the axle. The lugs themselves should not be counted on to center the wheel. You can do it and alot of the aftermarket does it so they can have more of a "one size fits many" wheel. Heck, even the magnum 500 wheel sold to chrysler did not have any center register to speak of and consequently, chrysler had problems with the magnum 500's. I've got a ford wheel on my pickup. The center hole in the wheel is much larger, it works for now but it does vibrate slightly.BTW, a Dodge truck wheel 5 on5 1/2 will not fit on the ford. I have tried it at the junkyard. I took the wheel off an 87 dodge van and tried to put it on a 84 ford pickup, it would not fit because of the register on the ford is larger.
I am not trying to be an A-hole, I just think people should be aware of the center register differences and try to match the wheels correctly as I believe the register bears more of the weight, especially if the lugs are not torqued correctly. This even stands true with aftermarket wheels. try to match the bolt pattern and the register. Ask the manufacturer or salesperson if register adaptors are available if they are needed.

Hey rcknrofender79 (man that's a hard to remember name)
It's a 5 on 4 and 1/2 pattern.
Some Ford rims will fit. (as long as it is 5 lug 4 1/2 pattern.)
Universal rims will fit. (as long as it states a 5 pattern 4 and 1/2)
Please don't put Jeep rims on your Challenger!!!
If you are looking for orginal type rims start saving up.
If you are a wagon wheel dub type, 16x8 fits in the front with 245/50's
and 16x9 with 255x50's fit good in the back. (I had a 71 Challenger with that.)
Good luck and have fun with your Mopar!!
