ISO engine dimensions for 318/360-5.2/5.9
Hey! I'm new to the world of Mopar, in the sense that I've owned one and hardly worked on it. I am however looking for fully assembled length, width, and height for LA 318/360 motors as well as 5.2/5.9 Magnum motors. I've searched Google and other forums and have usually come up with mismatching figures.
I've heard the max width of a 318/5.2 is 24" from across the exhaust manifolds, but is it true? As well as a 31.9" max length, from back of the block to the front of the fan. Height isn't a super concern but I read it was about 29" from somewhere on the oil pan to the top of the fuel injected manifolds.
Main widths I am looking for is from the very edges, as in valve cover to valve cover, and height from the top of the valve cover to the bottom of the block/oil pan. As for lengths, I would prefer if it was both back of block to water pump pulley, and back of block to front of mechanical fan.
I'm looking to shove a Mopar motor into a Ford, seeing as the original motor spun 5/6 bearings. I can hear that you're going to yell "Sacrelige!" but it's my project, you know.
Thanks for looking, or the replies!

I'm a Ford/Mopar guy and I know the sbm is wider than the 302/5.0.

New info (need confirmation)
I just stumbled across this post on a ramcharger forum.
https://www.ramchargercentral.com/th...ensions.49597/
The third post down has a whole bunch of info, stating that width of valve cover to valve cover (aka widest point that is unchangeable) is 20.5" wide.
That's pretty good news for me. Can anyone confirm that? It also says max width with 340hp headers is approximately 27.1". That seems kinda excessive. Wonder what block huggers meant for a jeep swap would come out to be.
Also, in the first post I said that it had spun 5/6 bearings. I'm working with a moron (that's me by the way) and meant to say 4/5!
