89 318 into 92 w150 wiring complications

I am trying to put a 89 carborated motor into a 92 truck that was originally fuel injected (both 318s). I have pulled the harness for the 89 from the firewall forward. Now what im wondering is, can i plug the harness right into the 92 firewall or do i need to swap all the wires inside too? Sorry if theres any confusion, any tips will help! Thanks in advance!

I would say need to swap all the wiring bc a pin on the 89' might be different on the 92'

A '92 should be a magnum engine and have much more wiring inside and out. Best bet is to get a factory service manual for each and compare wiring diagrams.

And if I'm not mistaken. The obd 2 started coming out in 92-94. That might throw you off. But I agree with afastcuda
