OK....been a couple weeks.
Today I was off and it was under frying temps so I did a little.....it LOOKS like a little, but it was many hrs.
Now we have the first close proximity mock-up of the motor. It will be about 5-6 inches more rear and about 4-5 inches higher. The higher part involves dealing with the cowl intake. I need to make it still keep water out while letting air in.
I'm sneaking up on how to make my firewall parts...........

The guy that sold me the Viper donor car also had an exhaust system he had made for when he planned to put the V10 in his Challenger. Since he did nothing for 2 yrs Mopar came out with the Hellcat and he planned to get one............good luck.
Anyway.....that left him with unneeded pipes. I still have to see if they will fit - good chance I can use them.
I'm considering the custom AR headers (I don't need the pipes rear of them).....and if you've been in the hobby/biz a while you know what those cost.

Custom car building.....where 5 hrs looks like you didn't do a damn thing
Honestly......I did work on it.
A little closer. Hoping next weekend I can finalize the position and fab the firewall.

Those are beautiful pipes. I would do everything to make them fit, I'm guessing with your fab skills you can tig weld.
I've made about 3 or 4 sets all from existing sets and with a few purchased J bends. I always start out with enthusiasm and 3/4's the way through say I'll never do another, but do to unique builds or just no money do another.
Those ones are so expensive and perfect, they're beggin' to be used.
