1968 Charger Replacement Brake Power Booster

Greetings fellow forum members,
I just bought a '68 R/T with the Wilwood 4wheel disc conversion. The pedal is like stepping on a brick and the brakes are very finicky.
There is a very radical cam so I immediately thought of adding a canister.
To my surprise there was one already installed under the battery tray, but it was not hooked up. I hooked it up and am getting between 15 and 20 inches on the gauge of the canister with no change in the brake feel.

I am thinking the booster may be damaged or have failed.
I have noticed there are not any "performance" replacement boosters online and I do not want to put in a reman unit from autozone.

Has anyone found a NEW or performance replacement booster for our 2nd gen B bodies?
I have attached some picks to show my setup. The booster appears to be mounted right up to the firewall. There are alot of conversion kits online with some sort of "out and up" bracket and a linkage system that I am wondering what it is for...
Please note the booster has four master cylinder mounting studs and the Wilwood master cylinder is the two hole variety...there is a four to two adaper plate installed.
Thanx in advance for any assist!
Mike

Check and make sure the booster is holding vacuum.... If that is good, and unassuming the brake System is correct... I would say that it has an under size master.... Just my 2 cents

Good morning Bob,
The booster is holding vacuum...mostly. It stays at 8" when I shut the motor down and slowly bleeds down...over approx 20 min.
The booster just does not seem to be assisting the braking effort and it does not make the classic vacuum sound when the pedal is applied.

Your observation has however, made me look at the system as a whole and I am going to contact Wilwood for their thoughts.
My research shows that this MC is their 1 1/16" bore...which appears to be their middle MC...and "should" be adequate...but we will see.
Appreciate the feedback, it has given me pause to examine everything...and I am finding some curiousities...
Thanx!
Mike

Sound like the Booster is holding vacuum. So that does not seem to look like the problem... So moving on... If wilwood comes back as thats the correct Master Cylinder. Looks for a restriction. Bent line and what not. Also dont rule out the wrong Proportioning valve.
I dont here many problems with some of these change overs, so i'm sure your going to find something is not matched correctly with the system.
Just need to find that one issue to fix it...
Lets keep chipping at it...
