Hello all!
I have a 1969 Plymouth sport satellite sedan. It has a bone stock, unmodified, 2 barrel 318 with 3 speed auto. 8 1/4 rear end. Its sand pebble beige. I have never seen a car like it before I found it. I have been to many many car shows. Im a younger guy at 23 so the history is vague for me. If you know anything at all about these cars please tell me. The story behind this car is that it was built in Detroit, as it has the different style fender tag. it was shipped west ( I don't know what state), as a dealer ordered car. it was driven seldom and sat often. This caused a respray of the car in the late 70s, it was a cheap paint job. single stage lacquer paint, which as spider cracked on every inch of the car, but I have managed to buff it to an acceptable look. It was then purchased by a gentlemen that lived near me ( central New York, USA) at a large estate auction along with various other mopar cars. Because it sat the weather seal on the front passenger side door failed and caused water to come into the car. It ruined the interior, a patch was done on the floor about 8-10inches in diameter. The interior also had to be redone. The guy I bought it from had done the carpet and the seats and then lost interest. The seats seem to be wrong for the car, but are mopar. It was in very excellent running and driving condition when I bought it. I replaced all the fluids and now have been driving in the nice weather seasons.

Let me here your thoughts, maybe some insight into the car, things to look for? maybe modifications? Any input is welcome!

Nice car. I didn't know they offered a four door, bench seat sport satellite. What was special on the fender tag?

 

Nice ride, makes me think of Adam 12. Me I'd put a 440 8 3/4" in it, bigger breaks and 7x15 wheels and dog dish caps.

 

I used to own one. Same 318 auto. We beat that thing to death It didn't look quite so nice as your either. I'd just start with fixing anything that needs it and driving it. If you feel the need later sure. Its a four door, so I don't think I'd consider making a racer out of it. Mine was a nice driver, got good mileage and was comfortable. You might think of sway bars. I think the RoadRunner stuff would fit. If it doesn't have disks up front that's another thing to consider. Otherwise, I'd leave it alone and enjoy it.

 

Very Nice "More Doors" project... I would just finish fixing it up and Drive the wheels off of it myself.... Cheers
