67 Belvedere II fuel tank removal

My 16 y.o daughter just found her first car. She loved it so I bought I. I need to replace the fuel sending unit, and wanted to get some tips for removing the fuel tank.
Thanks

The first thing is you want it EMPTY if you need to drop it. 🙂

Hell I learned how to drive in a car just like that with the exception of color. Tail lights filled up with water

Empty tank. Got it. What about the lines? I understand the ones from the fill, but I cant see the sending unit (yet). Can the unit be changed without dropping?

With the sender mounted at an angle in the front of the tank you might be able to remove and replace it with the tank in place. You might have to loosen up the tank to get a little clearance.
