68 Coronet 4 wheel drum New Master Cylinder Question

Looking for some help on questions on a new Master Brake Cylinder.
I recently purchased a new clone Ebay MC and it looked like the original. When inserting the push rod/new bushing assembly there was little resistance and could remove the rod. I inspected the piston and found no inner locking groove and the diameter was several thousandths larger then my original. Also noted that the dust boot screw thread were metric so I would need new screws. I contacted the seller and was told 70+were already sold with no reported issue. I contacted another ebay seller offering the similar MC and he has sold 100+ with no reported problems. Has anyone used one of these and if so did the push rod bushing lock? . I am planning to send back and look for an aftermarket that has the bushing groove in the piston.

Thanks in advance,
Mory
