front disc brakes

Have a 69 Roadrunner-don't drive it much in the Houston traffic. Moving to a rural setting and plan on more driving.

Please share with me a good, fairly priced, and complete conversion kit. I would like to spend max. $1000. Is there enough support for an average person to do this on his own?

A few brands to consider and just wonder- do these sellers (Wilwood,Jeggs) mfg. their own components.

Please identify most common mistake on selection and installation process.

I have a big disk brake setup off of a 1974 A body that was the same used on a later B body that will get you the calipers and rotors and such. You will then just need to source a disk brake master cylinder and and proportional valve. Good thing is that I am in Houston also.

Go with the SSBC kit from Summit Racing. You get four piston calipers, brackets, bearings, seals, rotors, hoses, all for about $850. WAY better than the stock disc set-up.
