gas gauge bounces

OK so I changed out my gas gauge in my 69 Plymouth satellite and now it bounces from empty to close to full almost like a turn signal, any ideas?

The gauge is reading the signal.. You need a gauge that is not so sensitive... You know, one that moves slowly.....

Check the voltage on the instruments Check the grounds on the tank... voltage reg may not be working for the instrument cluster
