how do i remove gauge cluster?

how do i remove gauge cluster?

how do i remove gauge cluster from my 72 charger?

i removed the screws in the front, and speedo cable. but it dosent want to come out.

do i have to remove the heater switches 1st?
will it come over the steering coulm?

You may need to drop the steering colum down some to get it out. I had to in my Valiant. And yes you need to disconnect the heater switch and the wire for the alt. before you go pulling it out all the way.

there are also two screws that go into the bottom, you reach them from beneath the dash. I think they are two nunts that go on studs, each side of the steering column. There's also a brace that goes from the side of the radio back to a support you have to take loose.
