Hey, I'm new to this Mopar game! I have a '70 Belvedere 2D with a 318. There is a fitting/sensor? located under the vacuum advance at the back of the intake and is covered in oil. What is that?
thanks
Ron

I believe you mean the oil pressure sending unit. On occasion they will leak at the crimp, or it could be loose. And as mentioned the rear intake gasket could be leaking, and/or the distributor to block seal could be leaking also causing the appearance of a sending unit leak?

Easiest thing to do is replace the oil pressure sender. If it still leaks you know it is the intake manifold. Most use Permatex The right stuff instead of the end gaskets for a better seal.. If it is leaking from the metal dist seal you probably have a bad PVC valve or too much blow by

Thanks TV. I'll get a new sending unit. The dizzy seal is dry and the oil seems to be only on the unit. Thanks
