New Holley Electric fuel pump wiring question
New Holley Electric fuel pump wiring question
69 Roadrunner 440 car.
I have installed a holley electric fuel pump. I am trying to install a oil pressure safety switch. The instructions say connect one wire to the Ignition and one wire to the start, the third goes to the relay for the pump. I can connect either of these two wires directly to the battery and the pump runs. My problem is connecting the these two wires to the ignition relay on the firewall. Seems voltage is too low to trip the relay. I would prefer not to install any manual switches. Car starts and runs fine. Does anyone know what the voltage should be on the ignition relay? Is there a better place to connect these wires. Thanks for reading.

Why are you putting the oil switch in line?
Just an FYI, The Relay is for the load so you dont burn up the switch..... The oil Switch would only be needed if you want the fuel pump to turn off during low oil pressure..... The on / Off during Crank... You really don't nee that part of the function... Just turn the key on for a second before you crank it and that should fill the float bowls....
