So my car doesnt have a factory tach. As I'm picking out the intake manifold, cam, carb I realized I don't know my cars redline. It's a 72 charger with a 360 and 727 tranny in the car. If anyone knows please let me know.
also, if it is hydrolic lifters, their max is probably 6000, so thats yours too
6000 is your max redline
if solid lifters with a steel crank, probably 6500, maybe a little higher
how would i tell what kind of crank it has without doing an inspection of the internals themself. is it possible to tell by the vin number somehow or not really. sounds like i should plan a build from idle to 5500 would be my best plan.
how do you set the reline on a carburated vechile. if memory serves it has something to do with the distributor. i know you can also do it with an ignition box other then that i dont know how you would 'set' to redline to 5700.
