starting problem on 1972 satellite

Angry starting problem on 1972 satellite

ok i have replaced my shifter cable on my 1972 satellite its 440 with 727 trans and now it with not start unless i use a jumper button on the starter solenoid i have tried taking the shifter cable back off and pushing the trans into park manually and it still will not fire from inside the car .......i have tried with the cable on and off both in park and nothing so.....im like a dog watching tv i dont know what going on

Check the wires going to your neutral safety switch, driver's side of your tranny. It may be off the contacts, or just loose. Since you had to work in that area for the cable, there's a good chance that's where your problem is. If not, check the center wire of the harness plugged onto the neutral safety switch... it runs to the solenoid and just plugs on. Could be it's the culprit

yea i tried unplugging and plugging it back in. i just think it is in the box on the firewall where all the wires go in but i just need to check the wires so i dono but thanks mopar nate
