suspension re-build kit

Has anyone used this kit for their suspension re-build? http://firmfeel.com/suspen_b.htm

Can anyone comment on the squeeking urethane bushing thing? I've read it could be annoying..

Also small block to big block torsion bars. Is it needed to convert with the engine swap?

As long as the urethane is greesed, they shouldn't make any noise. You have to stay on top of it. Otherwise, got with rubber.

Yes, you should swap the torsion bars if you are going from a small block to a big block. Even if your swapping a slant 6 to a small block motor, the big block torsion bars will stiffen up your ride a little, causing you to have a little less body roll during corning.

I know firm feel makes some good stuff but Im not too crazy about the urethane especially in the lower control arm. Good idea for the strut bushing {the one that goes from the LCA to the K frame} Now if someone made some upper bushings that were the nylon insert type for the upper A's, that would be the thing to have. The nylon insert bushings are the best [I think anyway].{but who makes em?}

Go with Performance Suspension Technology's polygraphite set. Polygraphite doesn't squeak, I'm told by friends who have used the kit. You can also upgrade your torsion bars with the kit purchase and save a few bucks.

That's another thing on my to-buy and to-do list....my 67 will be happy but too bad they don't make a THING for my 53!
