worth buying this car?
Hi! I want to get some recommendations from the forum experts due to a guy is selling me a car and I think it can be an interesting project but I don't know if really worth to buy this car
The car is a Plymouth Satellite 1970, it came from factory with a 440 and torqueflite 727 but actually the car doesn't has engine (the guy sell the engine), doesn't has bumpers (not frontal, not rear), doesn't has interiors and dash is broken and the quarter panels are from a Coronet 1966 so the car looks strange.
He's asking me 800 U$. This is the first time that I found this kind of car in my country, I never ever have seen a B body from 1969 or 1970 in person
Should I buy this car?

I think is agood oportunity to make a "Hammer"
But what the experts think, is a good oportunity or isn't? the car has a taxes debt of about 400 U$ so the purchase cost would be approximately 1250 U$
What about the TamRaz or Auto Metal Direct parts? are direct replacement parts or should be modified to fit in the car?

Too many parts missing. Some one has already been using it for parts. I take it you are not in the USA so Parts and shipping will be VERY expensive

Well, that depends...
is it a 2dr or 4dr?
Where are you? Canada? Mexico? UK?
Are you going to do all the sheet metal work yourself?
Getting replacement parts,
can be had for about as much as, we in the states pay for them, if you're in Mexico, Canada etc. (border the US).
BUT, the price will go up substantially if you're overseas, ie UK, Germany, Australia etc.
If its a 4dr then its potentially a parts car, so I'd say "no".
BUT, if its a 2dr AND you border the US, then I say why not go for it?
However, if you're overseas, then probably not...
Also, if you're going to have a shop do the metal work then how deep are your pockets???

I live in Colombia I've never imported large parts like a quarter panel or a door shell but actually my importer bills me by the weight of the parts, not the volume of it and now I'm restoring a plymouth fury 1974 4 door and so far I've bought all the parts in the United States and the final shipping cost has not been great. About the metal work I don't care about it because I've a very good friend that restore old cars and he has his own restoration workshop
