Let me preface this by stating it is entirely possible that I am an idiot. However, I recently purchased a 66 Imperial convertible with a new power top. It was closed securely when I bought it, but since then I have been unable to latch it in place. Motor and mechanicals appear to work fine, and the two alignment pins on each side fit properly. But the center latch doesn't appear to latch to anything. Meanwhile there are two recesses in the header above each sun visor where I think a hook or some type should attach, but there are no hooks coming out of the top at those points, just empty holes. Anyone have one of these who can tell me how the top is supposed to attach and close securely? It would be much appreciated.
