1971 CUDA-E Body

I am new to the Forum, I am trying to convert from manual steering (24:1) to a (16:1) power steering system. I have spoken with Firm Feel Steering, WA state regarding their rebuilt units. My problem is I need a used E body, P/S box that will interchange with my 1971 Cuda--they will not accept my manual box as the core. Any suggestions on where I can locate an original E body P/S box that will fit this year model?

Many Thanks,
LeRoy Pettyjohn

Leroy,
Check with the guys over at Wildcat Auto Wrecking and see if they have a core they could send you... Good luck on the project... Hope you get it done and enjoy it for this upcoming summer !!!

Thanks Bob, you look like you should be sitting in a bar in Nashville tonight.

HI Leroy, You still out there? I prefer manual steering. I'm building a 70 Barracuda and it has a power steering box that needs a rebuild. I would be willing to trade if the manual box you have doesn't have any problems. Tom

Tom, is the P/S box you currently have an OEM or aftermarket part? Would you be willing to include the P/S pump and it's brackets? Many thanks LeRoy

Tom, I am finally back in Memphis from working all last week in Mobile and have time to devote to the issue regarding P/S box. Let me know if you are still interested in making the exchange? A phone number would work best so we can discuss details. Many thanks, LeRoy Pettyjohn, Memphis

Oh Oh, sorry but I sold the box when I didn't see a reply. Then I bought a manual box.

Hey LeRoy, I know it's an old thread but were you ever able to find a ps box? A friend of mine might have one, he lives on Egypt Central and has a pretty big Mopar hoard.
