Put 58 miles on her today....let the wife have first try..OMG
First of all I am 6 foot tall and my wife is only 5 foot 3 inches...with the seat all the way forward I will fabricate some wooden blocks and hold them on with some rubber bands or something else...we tried it twice and she stalled it three times...after that we went to Sonic and then a nice winding country road drive...I told her two watch and practice on her foot control...anyways it was 85 degrees and beautiful...I took the eyebrows off and used some synthetic rubing compond to clean up the headlight bezels...

sorry about the hairy chest and man ***** in the reflection...

I have only had five jobs...Pizza Hut....True Manufactoring...US Army....18 years with Honeywell and then working on ten years with HDC...I don't like to tell people how much I make because I take that as bragging...I even have a hard time telling my mom how much I get paid..I can just tell you that I am well compensated...some of these parts were bought with parts I sold...It was stuff that I would never use..

Took out the driver's side alignment access plate
I call it the alignment access plate because it gives you access to the following...

It was damaged by the brake fluid coming out of the mast cylinder...the top rails were rusted along with rust on the covers gasket...I sanded the rust off the top and scraped it off the gasket with a razor blade..it's not leaking anymore...

All stripped of paint....

and painted again with the same gloss VHT epoxy paint...I swear by that paint...good thing is no primer needed on bare metal..

Removed the rear cover....was a 2.94 and now is a 3.55
Cover was glued on with silicone...had to use a pry bar to get it to budge....scraped most of the silicone off and then used the proven MEK with a scotch brite pad and wah la it's all off there now...letting it drip until tomorrow night and if it is stopped I will put the new rear cover on...with the right stuff..

And i also learned to never ask. But seeing as how you got a 440 dart with AC and the works, you're doing pretty well.

Okay after six days....
Fed Ex sucks and Summit Racing rocks....Fed Ex policy states that they must wait 14 days before they will admit that a package is lost....2 head gaskets...two intake manifold gaskets...a timing set and oil pan gasket..$133.45 sitting in Fed Ex facility here in Houston...after six days nothing...I called Summit and they are going to send me them again and file a claim with Fed Ex...that's why Summit Rocks!!!!!

The M/T's are like slicks at the track, and like street tires on the street. Perfect tire IMO.

I drive mine all over. Street, track, where ever. Drive it in the rain and at night too. It's just a fast street car.

And as far as alcohol goes, I'm not too worried about being 21. I'd rather enjoy my young years still. I have no desire to drink now or anytime soon. I got money to waste on other stuff.

Plus, only bad things come out of drinking (usually).

Got some more parts today...

Of course my wife hates when more parts show up...I do not hide anything from her but she thinks I waste time and money on my cars...I told her again to think of them as investments...well most of the resent gaskets from Summit showed up today...along with some new leaf springs...the car has some 33 year old ones and it has some air shocks on the rear..I am not a fan of air shocks so new heavy duty leaf springs and some good gas shocks...I started her up tonight...sounded bad at first...had number 5 and seven crossed at the distributor...switched them and it was good to go...everything still works..

Went to my storage and pulled some parts...
I have a 4 door 1981 Gran Fury at my storage..the blue 318 in my garage is for it...I robbed the cold air intake tube off it...it must be an F body also because it worked like a charm...I am off tomorrow and hopefully it will be a great paint day for the air cleaner..
