spark plug readers

spark plug readers

SPARK PLUGS, is white ashy deposit a bad thing on just my ground strap/side electrode, base ring looks good thin black suet all the way around, insulator is clean besides some sploches on a couple cylinders, hopefully from bad choking.. is the white deposit okay?

LA 318 stock except, bored 40 , four barrel no egr, 500 cfm, the ground strap just has white deposite on (like a slightly grayish white out was swiped on it real quick not covering the entire ground just sploches on it trying to describe it for you) it starts like an eight of an inch from where it meets the threads, is the white always a lean indicator? is clean porcelan a lean indicator
