I am rebuilding the front suspension of my 53 New Yorker. The Shop Manual calls for C-608 tool to install the pivot arm on the upper control arm. I cannot find anything re: this tool. Any insights? Is it really necessary? How can I reassemble the suspension without it?

I could use any guidance possible here - I am surprised with all the rebuild kits available there is so little information about this tool.

Wow...... Have you check with the folks over on the P15 / D24 Mopar Cars and Truck site?
I think your just going to have to make your own Spreader somehow...??????
