1995 Grand Voyager Balljoint removal problem

I just signed up and I need urgent help. I don't have time to read everything right now. I hope I wont stick my foot in my mouth.

I cant remove the lower right front balljoint. The new one has a snapring with it and I assume the old one has one also, but I can't find it. The balljoint has been removed from the rotor side, the upper part of it is free. The snap ring is either on the top or bottom of the ball joint, but I can't see it anywhere. I think if I beat on the top portion, it should slide out completely. I don't know what tool I could use . Any help is greatly appreciated and needed urgently. Need the van to go to work.
Thanks

Are you sure that it is not a welded in Joint. Some of those you have to replace the whole lower arm and bushing.
They are welded in.....

If it's not welded, you use a 1 1/16 deep socket and put over the stud and press it out going downward.

Good Luck

If you have the rubber boot off you should see it on top. If no snap ring press away.

Stuff we have to deal with. Quick change oil shops rarely grease the suspension The lower if it is like my 98 B Van is a pressed fit comes out the bottom. I think The snap ring is installed after the ball joint is pressed in as a fail safe
