Cool 67 barracuda build

i recently finished stuffing a big block 383 in a 67 barracuda and in reassembling the car from paint found the dipstick painter took off the vin tag. the state patrol vin inspector want to find a matching vin on the car and to my knowledge the only numbers that are on my 69 that match are the last 8 digits of the vin on my core support and fender tag. they will not give back the vin tag unless we find another vin number. the poor owner of the car is facing a 3000 dollar bonded title charge can anyone help please????????????? oh well i guess no one has had any kind of problem like this. if any one knows how to get the broadcast sheet on a 67 barracuda i would sure appreciate any help it may be able to cross reference the vin to the build codes this may help get the title done and maybe get the vin tag back???????????????? thanks

Has anyone found the build sheet? It is usually in the back seat, sometimes in the front seats. Also, I could be wrong, but I thought that the factory stamped the entire VIN somewhere in the sub-frame, trunk or radiator support. It varies from vehicle to vehicle.

Possible VIN locations on a 'Cuda from what I know:

(1) Dashpad
(2) Subframe
(3) In driver's door, open it up and it should be right where the door hinge is
(4) Trunk, close to the driver side (mine was)
(5) Build sheet (Mine was in the front driver seat)

Ya what Tim said, They planted "broadcast" sheets everywhere in the cars depending on where they were built, seats are your best bet to find one.
