a518 issues

hi swapping a518 into 84 dodge d 250 with la360 what do i need as far as flex plate and t/q. I have the original 318 flex plate and t/q from donor 92 dakota there is a weight on the t/q should i knock off ?

Welcome!

The 318 is internally balanced while the 360 is externally balanced. As long as the flex place and TQ are balanced, you should be ok.

do not knock off the weight ...you nd a tork converter for a 360. It.will have a.larger weight to balance the 360.
other than that its a straight swap
did you happen to take the lock up and overdrive wire pigtail
how will u activate them

Get a B&M flex plate for a 360 Carefully remove the weight from the converter

just get the corrrct. Tq
a 2000 stall mopar tq with lock up is the safe way to go when you start knoking weights off.yor askin for trouble
