E-Body Z-bar bracket to frame rail Location

Hello all, I am brand new to the forum and need help. I have a 73 Cuda I did a 4 speed conversion on last year. All worked well but I used a hydrolic clutch setup. I want to go to a Z-Bar and have 3 different ones(one I know is the correct one for my car). My question is , is there anyway to measure or mark the location for the Z-bar mounting bracket where it goes on the frame rail?I need to drop the engine back in and want to mount the bracket first. I just had it completely painted and need to get her back together asap. I don't want to have to put the tranny in to line the Z-bar up as I don't have a lot of room in there after the engine and trans are in. Thanks in advance for any help.

check the inside of the fenderwell/frame. they had a habit of having the holes already there and a plug in place.

Thank you for the reply. I will check today. I figured I would put the engine in with out the bell on and try to line it up somehow. But first I will try youre thought. Thanks again, Milt

Hey , Thanks for the welcome, I hope to be able to get and return good Mopar info. Does any one know if Mopar made different color tones of Hemi- Orange engine paint back in the day? I have used 2 or 3 cans of original Hemi-Orange engine paint, and just got another and it seems to be lighter than the others? Not a big problem I just had to paint 2 freeze out plugs. But just curious. Thanks again !
