Frame Rail & other welding questions for 1970 Coronet

Hello gang, hope you can help me. Im thinking about buying a 1970 Coronet, 383 is super strong and car looks nice. BUT, there are some holes in the floor and the trunk pan is GONE. Now, im not too worried about that stuff. BUT, the seller says the rear driver side INNER frame rail is bad. He said the outer one, the one that everything connects too is good. I personally didnt know there were 2 but its been a LONG time since ive been under a mopar.

Anyway... does this make sense at all? And if so... is it a huge deal to fix? I know the part is about $300. But ive heard horror stories about mopar frame rails. Can anyone give me advice? The car is pretty affordable but id liek to know how much this welding is gonna cost me. ThANKS!

Heh, sorry to confuse Bob, but im in Ohio. lol. They guy lives close to me so Im going to go take a look at it, he doesnt have any pics of the frame. I dont know what he means, he mentioned the oter frame rail was good but the inner was bad.. and that it could be repaired with some sort of cap.

so, i dont know. either way... is frame rail repair hundreds of dollars or thousands? or is it just a matter of welding it back in. thanks.

When you go look take your camera or you phone and get us some pictures.. Then ideas will come after looking at what you have... That way you don't get bad information and get into more than you want to.... JMO......
