Engine parts problem...

I am rebuilding a 1993 Dodge Power Ram 150 into a Power Wagon. The 360 tbi motor spun a bearing...so i replaced the lower end. I am tight on ....so i am leaving the upper alone. I am changing valve seals....and literature says the valve stem for intake is 0.311; exhaust is 0.371. I ordered seals without checking....i know..duh! The seals fit a .311.....but both stem are .371...and the valve guide top the seal slides over (not really sure what to call it) around 1/2". So whats up with these heads. I can't get history on the truck but it shouldn't have had a rebuild. Can anyone suggest whats up
