Yes, I had a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray that I had a lot of fun with because an old Corvette mechanic befriended me and helped me rebuild the engine into a monster 383. After I had my fun with it, I sold it and bought this 1978 Dodge that I intended to surprise my buddy with and I had plans to rebuild it with him and make it into a monster for the coach. Alas, when I got it home and went to show it to him, he was dead on the kitchen floor. But that's another story.
Since he had helped me with all my Chevy stuff, I was at a loss about getting my rig running well, so I ended up paying an old school mechanic to tune it up.
He said that there are many parts missing and it's not the original carb or air cleaner. Some vacuum hoses are disconnected and lead nowhere.
So I'm hoping to solve some of these mysteries and either hook them up correctly or get rid of them completely. Although I'm in California, the rig is registered in WA where my family lives, so I don't need to worry about smog. I'd like to jazz it up some.
I'll start my first repair question thread soon.
