Grease Equalizer Bolt? Need input.
Hello, I have been running into a issue concerning the front driver side ball joint and the camber alignment. The issue that I am running into is that the bolt that was compressing the ball joint seems to be after market. I went to the certified mopar shop in town and the parts manager seemed to have no idea what kind of bolt this was and quick to brushed it off of his hands, so I took it to the college in town to the Automotive instructor who is also mopar trained and he had a better idea but still no solid ideas on what it really could be. we dug into the subject and discovered that it looked like a Grease Equalizer bolt or a Wet Equalizer bolt that is a after market part due to the issues of alignment in these years of dodge rams. I was wondering if anyone else had ran into this issue on their vehicle? the only thing that threw us through a loop was that the bolt that seems to be in use is mainly used in Marine engines and in Trailer suspensions. if you have any useful information about this subject feel free to text me at 1-605-760-2323. Any help is greatly appreciated. The year of the truck is 1997 Dodge 1500 4x4. Thanks again for any information.

So it looks something like this deal? >>>>>>>>> https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...SABEgKHrfD_BwE
I would throw it away and get the correct bolt and adjustable washer to be able to set the alignment correctly. Lube spray the bushings when performing your oil changes or after off-roading to keep them free.
Just my 2 cents...
