Hello, about to buy a 66 Satellite, feedback appreciated

Hello everyone, I'm looking at buying a 66 Satellite from a friend. the car has a 440 with a 4 speed. it's not a numbers matching of course but it runs great. just has an exhaust manifold leak so the owner already has new headers to throw in with the car. the car has collector plates and is very nice. Is 10g too much to pay for this car? it's not a show car but its very nice condition. needs nothing other than the exhaust leak fix. appreciate any feedback.

Welcome!

I love the '66 body style. If the motor was rebuilt (with or without performance goodies), trans gone through, rear axle that can handle the power and the body is in good shape, then I'd say $10K is a fair price to spend.

Great buy!

Maybe, just have the exhaust manifold surface ground and not use the headers. Unless the headers are of the TTI quality, they may be more trouble than they are worth!

If you want to be dishonest..Get caught and its not worth the fine &/or the jail time at least in this state... What does that have to do with anything??? And what does it gain??
