Hello All!
Hello All!
Long time mopar fan, had a few but just purchased my favorite. A 69 Satellite!
My boys are 15 and 16 years old and thought this would be a great way to spend time together. I've never rebuilt any car and am open to any and all tips. We're not looking to make a show car just somethign to have fun in. I've posted pictures on the web and a few of you have already helped me with some minor items, THANKS!
The engin was rebuilt about 2K ago and the front end as well. The car need rear quarters and a trunk pan, outside that its solid, save a few dents. We don't have a big wallet, just spet $5k for thee car, so were looking at a multi year build.
We're planning to start from the bottom up scraping under coating, but it's to hot to start and besides, we're having fun driving it right now, the black stripes in my driveway are proof of that!
Looking forward to learning from you all!

Welcome, teach them to love the Mighty V8. My three are a bit older and I'll tell you it took a couple years to stop the one from searching the net for parts and ideas. After going to Moparfest and talking to some of the "old boys" he realized maybe he should just listen. There are no dumb questions here because, like me, most have made all the mistakes we don't want the next generation to make.
Welcome to the forum.... Time spent with our families is priceless!!!! Just a word of advice... Get a good digitial camera and take a lot of pictures!!!! Also keep a diary and you will be surprised just what you will find in two or three years... You'll be glad you did!!!! For other ideas be sure to check out the Mopar of the Month contest... See the sticky for the simple rules and then help pick the monthly winner.....
