Hello from Germany!
Hello from Germany!
A big 'hello' from Germany everyone!
Great to be here! Here's what you need to know about me
I used to work in San Francisco a couple of years ago that's when my love to classic cars started. Now I'm back in Germany... I've been into classic cars for some years now and sort of found my passion in Mopars (used to have a couple of Cadillacs and Buicks before but found the love to Mopars, really). I'm currently riding a 1968 Chrysler NewYorker 440 and 2006 Chrysler 300C 5.7HEMI.

Hi there, I think I saw your video on this car on youtube. This is that yellow NYer with the two black stripes, right?
As I said on the YTb comment, the most likely problem is that your points are not properly adjusted or cooked, or condenser. From what I see in the video, you do not have the HP engine. Your air cleaner looks like the regular 440 engine. So, I do not know how the dual point distributor found its way there.
I have zero experience with the dual point distributor, but plenty with the single. With a dwell meter is very simple to set the points right. Many people like to replace points all together and install electronic ignition.
Other possible problems is vacuum leaks and bad ignition wires.

RRR, you made two good choices. First, you chose the best type of classic cars. Chrysler made the best cars back then. Second, you chose a good part of the USA to visit. As you know, not all places in the USA are very nice. Some are desolate. Take Iowa for example, terrible place. However, the people from various places in the USA that join this form are only the best. Look at post 8, for example. Very clever indeed. At least, by Iowa standards!
