Hello Mopar Forums
My name is Larry, and I have been a MOPAR fan since my childhood. I grew up on 69 Chargers (Duke's of Hazzard, the movie Christine), 70 Challengers (Vanishing Point!), and other assorted Mopar metal (Phantasm II, different Stephen King Movies!, Bullitt, the original Gone In 60 Seconds, Cannon Ball Run, not to be over looked...all the carshows/races/cruising that I attended once I turned 16). My parents couldn't afford Mopars back in the day. But my Dad's brother, my Uncle Louis, was a Mopar guy who had (at different times) a Dart Swinger, a Charger, a Superbee, a few different pick-ups, and even some AMC stuff. He still owns one or two to this day, once a Mopar guy, always a Mopar guy! On my Mom's side of the family was my Great-Uncle Otis, Master Mechanic on Plymouth's, DeSoto's, Chrysler's, Dodge's (I was fortunate to acquire his shop manuals before his passing!), a little of every kind. Then I met one of my best friends in school, who's family own's a Mopar Dealership, we hit it off great from the get-go, and from there I have been able to live my life surrounded by everything MOPAR! I currently own 5 Mopars, a New Yorker, a Dart, a Challenger, and 2 pick-ups. Already I have seen a few things that answered, or at least asked, the same questions that I have, so I think this site is going to be just what I need to help me get more vintage Mopars back out on the roads of America! I ask in advance if I make a mistake please forgive me, I'm new to forums, so I don't know all the etiquette, do's and don't's, so if I mess up or make a mistake help me to correct it, so that I don't do it again....(and again!). Thanks!
