1967 Charger.turn key on car starts.Release key and car turns off.Hold key in on position and car runs.Soon as you let go of key car turns off.If you hold key in on position car keeps running.but let go of key car turns off.please help thx very much

 

Check the Ballast Resistor

 

Ballast resistor was replaced and bam ,problem corrected.thx very much.you rock!!

I got another situation.My column shifter engages in all gears except park.When I engage into Park,it is in neutral.please help.thx Tony

Check all the shift linkage Bushings !!!!
If those are all good. Unhook the linkage from the trans lever and see if it will go into park? If it does, it's a linkage issue. If it does not, then it is something inside the transmission...
