I'm up here in the Pacific Northwest and have recently inherited a 1967 Newport. The vehicle was owned by my wife's grandmother so I don't know much about it other than it is an all original convertible. Late last summer we began having some overheating issues with it. It has 112,000 miles on it and this winter I pulled the radiator and had it rebuilt. I also replaced the thermostat, water pump and upper and lower hoses as well as flushed the system. There is no fan shroud currently on the vehicle and It doesn't really look like there was one that was maybe removed. I am looking for any advice for cooling this big beast down a little. I am currently searching for a subtle triple gauge and also some sort of aftermarket shroud/electric fan combination. Am I moving in the right direction or am I missing something?

Welcome to the Site From SO-CAL... I think all you need it the rite fan should, and that should fix your problem if everything else is in good working order.
Keep us posted....
