BTW, what is the max size cam for stock springs??? i have a set of headers on the way, and idk what stall converter i need...

Stock 318 cams are .390"-.410" tops, the springs won't handle any more, plan on changing them. Most 318 heads will handle upto .450" above that it gets tight. If you get your heads machined you can cut the guide down slightly and get retainers that can gain clearance. Have someone who has worked on Mopar heads only as valve stem height is critical, no chevy machinists. Here is a discussion that might help. http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparf...ad.php?t=17176

Any builder that is willing to do this is a builder that actually cares about his customers and their machines. I would sit down with him and have him assist with picking out what is best for your engine after figuring out exactly what you want and what numbers you are striving for.
