My new 75Dodge colt

My new 75Dodge colt

Just got a 75 dodge colt, Swaped the Motor for a V8 318 from a dart
Runs okay But doesnt seem to have Full power, My guess would be New timing chain, Carb rebuild, Also the car runs and drives But Sputters at about half throttle, Or when i gun it

Just want a second oppinion Befor i rush out and spend the
THis is my first car And i Kinda wanna make it a little racer Any ideas TO make it any faster would be cool

are you sure you the carb is set right, distributor, vacuum lines correct? if its been sitting for a wile a carb kit couldnt hurt,

Make sure that your timing is perfect (or as close to perfect as posible), you have no vacuum leaks, and that the carb you are running is giving the motor the proper fuel/air ratio.

What are the spec on the 318 that you swapped in? Knowing that will allow us to help you better.
