New guy from South Africa.
Thank you for admittance!
I recently joined the C-body fraternity...first Mopar also. Very happy owner of a '67 Dodge Monaco, 383. And yes, she is RHD....Love the old girl! I have owned a couple classic cars, but the more common Chevy's and Fords. Certainly a lot to learn from all Moparites on this Forum!!

When I first saw the picture, I thought it was reversed. I have never heard of a C-body with the steering wheel on the right. But the numbers check right. Was this car exported to the UK or Australia? Even then, I am surprised to know that Chrysler set a production line for exports. Especially, given that in C-bodies (and probably B-bodies too) the engine is a bit offset to the right to leave space for the steering box. In your car, it may be the opposite.
Anyway, hope you have a 4bbl, and worked on that 383 some. What is your differential ratio? Does the car have power windows?
By the way, I have two 68 Imperials. One is the 4dr sedan body style, shares the same glass as your car, but most everything else is different, and the car is a bit longer and a lot heavier.
You will find out that Chrysler products were better engineered than Fords and Chevies.

I can assure you she is RHD
. Monaco's were assembled in Elsies Rivier (River) in Cape Province. Differential is Chrysler 8.75 with 3.23 ratio. Yes sir, she does have power windows. The 383 is fitted with an Edelbrock 4 barrel intake, Holley 600 carb. Also has electronic distributor. Torqueflite 727 box was redone by previous owner...super smooth changes!
I have only had her for 2 months, still cleaning up and getting used to the Chrysler "way of thinking"! She stood for 13 months before I became owner...Some interesting reading about Chrysler in South Africa: http://www.allpar.com/world/south-africa.html

True what you said in previous post, build and ride quality is superior to some of the Fords and Chevy's I have owned, and still own. Engine is super smooth and strong, with a nice deep burble.
I will need to source some wheel caps for her though, rims have been widened and powder coated. Importing from US/Canada/OZ is a killer though...with our Rand currently on 12.16 to 1US$.... plus customs. Recently brought in a Torqueflite dip stick priced at $39,99 ends up costing close to $85 landed in SA! (or R1033,00! local currency)
