New here with a 1973 Plymouth Fury Suburban wagon
Hello. Just acquired my neighbors 1973 Plymouth Fury Suburban Wagon with a 400ci engine. He was the original owner and the car is just about all original. New parts include: master cylinder, both front wheel calipers, new rear wheel cylinders, front brake pads, spark plugs, I rebuilt the carb, new coil, new rotor and cap, new wires and spark plugs, new fuel pump and fuel filter. The car fires right up, fast idle works as it should, and kicks down after about 5 minutes when you press the gas pedal. I keep hearing a air popping noise in the exhaust and the engine shakes a bit at idle like it may have a slight misfire. Still bleeding the brakes so I haven't taken it on a maiden voyage yet. Any ideas about the popping or the misfire. I will take a video of it and post it up. Thanks.

Plug wires okay. Going to borrow a timing light from my buddy during the week. Mine developed an internal short somewhere and I got electrocuted the last time I used it. The engine sounds healthy overall though. The car had been sitting since 1990.

Here is a video I took a few weeks ago when I got the car from my neighbor and drove it over to my house.
