swapping engines

I have 1998 dodge durango with a 5.2 (318), if i where to go to the 5.7 (360), would the 360 bolt up to my transmission?

Yes it will bolt up. , Need to change the flex plate or maybe the converter for balance factor what trans do you have ? If you have the A500 version- light duty ? it may not last long behind a 360

Just a small correction... 5.9 is a 360... 5.7 (354ci) is the HEMI.

Are you looking to install a 5.9L/360 or a 5.7L/354?

If a 360, you'll want to swap in the PCM as well.
