Ticking

When i start my 03 300m special after it sits for awhile it sounds fine , then when i put it in gear there is a ticking sound that sounds like a lifter but it is more prominent when you listen down by the front wheel either side has anyone had this problem or does any one have any suggestions tranny fluid level is where it should be.

Does the ticking happen when you are moving in gear or does it happen while you are sitting still in gear?

If it is only when you are moving, it could be a worn out CV shaft joint.

Do you mean as if the pad is shifting because its missing a clip, or if its just squealing like a **** cause its so worn?

Hey buddy , welcome to the forum.
You are doing things correctly, just keep posting here in this thread.

One thing you might consider though, is describing the circumstances of the problem in short sentences. For example:

I only hear the ticking when the car is warm.
The ticking starts as soon as I put it in gear.
The ticking continues even after I put the car in neutral.

When sentences all run together with a lack of punctuations like comma's, periods etc... it's difficult to understand.

A bunch of great guys willing to help around here, you are in the right place!

Joe.
