04 RAM 1500 5.7 seatbelt chime issues

The shop replaced my in tank fuel pump. When I got the truck back the seat belt chime keeps going for a few minutes after each start. We have tried everything trying to program it to stop. My question is, if we unplug or cut the wire leading to the drivers seat buckle will it stop?

It will stop. But i do think it will set an ABS or SRS code. Sounds like the BMC (Body Control Module) needs to be reset to its factory default. 2004 I think take a DBR-3 to make that happen?

What is a BDR-3? But you think it will quit if the drivers seat buckle is unplugged? I have to get help with the plug. I am too old and out of shape to curl up like a pretzel to get at it haha! Thanks

IT's just a factory Scan tool for testing....

I would say your better off, Taking it to a Chrysler Dealer and see whats up with the system and getting an estimate to repair it. Could just be the buckle contact is dirty?

That's the problem with today's computerized vehicles. They are putting back-yard mechanics out of business. Thanks for your time.
