Unhappy Elecronic Ignition AND Condenser????

So I bought a 74 Dodge b200 Maxi Wagon..... it has (Dodge) electronic ignition rather than points -but there is also a wire going from the coil to a condenser grounded on one of the coil mounting bolts.

I thought the electronic ignition did not use a condenser?!?!?!? Is this why I could not find a replacement condenser? Did someone just think it needed one?
