You mite also have to unplug the blower motor or pull it's fuse. I think the blower runs all the time even when in the off position with the truck is running.

I am not impressed with Dodge's design for these cheap plastic blend doors that take over 8hrs of a mechanics time at 100.00 bucks an hour to repair. In this case, technology has gone backward. Put a manual cable fitting like the old days and then it can be adjusted. MANUALLY!!!

Well All I can say is.... You wont be impressed by any of the MFG now day... All these cars are plastic in the air boxes.. We fight problems with all of them Domestic, Foreign, European,
Your Dodge is a tough one to do. If I am not mistaken. The dash has to come out of the truck and that is a huge chore.
8hrs sounds like good time to me for the job, but that is without looking up the flat rate... $100.00 an Hour sounds like a dealer rate. other shops are sometimes around $85.00 an Hour or there about.

I would be asking myself. Why did the blend door break? Most of the time the servo / Bleed Door motor acctuator goes out. But you also have to remember, their are 4 things involved. Servos, Electrical, Control, Body Control Module,
Keep us posted on how the repair comes out....

But, I like you am good with the old way of doing some things... But Time keeps moving forward weather we like it of not... Cheers
