1993 Carbureted Magnum, with 1974 Dodge dart stock tranny
Ok, so first off I'm unaware of what type of transmission is. But I have a 1993 5.9L 360 Magnum that is carbureted my only question is if it would bolt up to my tranny.
All help is appreciated, thanks.

what motor did that dart have?
the 318 most likely, it had a 904 trany the converter needs to be changed i don't think you can get one for it
you need a 727, hec the power will eat up the poor 904
- or with modification a 500 or a 518.

Canyon -
TCI has MVB tranny's in the $1500 range.
Add the new converter, etc and possible drive shaft mods and you're looking the $2000 range. Used may be an option, but with trannys that can be risky, unless you're up for a rebuild.

Ok, this link is from my local craigslist type website, I was wondering if this 727 would work and bolt up to a 1974 dodge dart swinger.

Your current 904/999/ trans can be made to work. But you would be better off with a 727. That trans in the add is a small block 727 and will work. Will bolt in without problems. You will need to have your drive shaft shortened & change the trans yoke. Personally I would have a complete new drive shaft made...
The later Magnum has it's balance weights on the flex plate, early one's may have weights on the torque converter so you need to check !!!

in the link you posted you can see the weight welded to the front face of the converter Cost - I would rebuild the trans & that converter will be wrong for a Magnum engine so it could run $1000 for a new converter + rebuilding the trnas + manual valve body conversion after you buy that trans
