my 66 is runnin like crap... stalls out alot wen i come to a stop... has new plugs, wires, points, and re built the original carb... my buddy is sayin needs new heads or a valve job and possble a diff carb (stromburg is wats in it) any suggestions on wat i should get or if i should try somethin else?

 

dose it pop fart & carry on when your driving ? whats your fuel filter like or fuel pump . have you ran your tank low . ?

 

sound like its in the fuel filter or carb

 

thoe needle and seats in those carbs have a tendency to stick. Might try a newer carb like a Carter.

 

Check the idle speed while in gear. I had the same problem. You will be suprised what a 50-100 rpm differance can do.
